2010 Minnesota Auctioneer Hall of Fame
Loren Seifert, auctioneer and real estate broker, of Pelican Rapids, MN, was recently inducted into the 2010 Minnesota Auctioneers Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame induction took place at the Minnesota Auctioneers Conference in Duluth, MN which was held January 14 – 16th.
The Hall of Fame honors an individual who has demonstrated honesty, high ethical standards, a willingness to share with others, a high standing in his community and with the Minnesota State Auctioneers, and made significant contributions to the auction profession. The new inductee is selected by current Hall of Fame Auctioneers and is a surprise announcement at the Presidents Banquet during the annual conference and show.
Since Loren’s wife was informed of the award prior to the conference, she was able to notify family and staff to attend the presentation. Over 35 family and friends were in attendance as well as over 200 auctioneers and their families as the award was announced.
Loren said, "It was quite a humbling honor and a total surprise. They gave me an opportunity to speak and I could hardly talk."
